It started with a simple observation: every rewards platform in Australia was either dodgy, impossible to win, or both. Hundreds of thousands of entries per promotion. Winners announced behind closed doors. No transparency, no accountability, no real chance.

The Getaway Collective was born from the belief that it doesn't have to be that way. What if a rewards club was built around travel - with promotions capped at hundreds of entries instead of hundreds of thousands? What if every selection was livestreamed so you could watch it happen? What if the chances were real, published, and visible?

So that's what we built. No investors. No safety net. Just a real bloke with a real idea, self-funded from day one. Eighteen months in and still down mid-five figures - but the data tells a different story. A 3,000-person database generating 30-50x return on promotional campaigns. A customer acquisition cost of ~$15 with a lifetime value of ~$72. The model isn't broken - it's just early.
